Meet Our Providers
-
Ricky Stevens, MD
Dr. Stevens has served the Cordele community for more than 20 years. A small‑town native, he chose to build both his medical career and his family life right here at home. He met his wife in medical school, and together they’ve raised their five children in the community they love.
Dr. Stevens enjoys all aspects of adult medicine, with special interests in diagnosis, community health, and performing EGD and colonoscopy procedures. He has a heart for international medical missions and, when he’s not in the office, you’ll most likely find him outdoors—often with a fishing rod in hand.
-
Russ Hopper, MD
A south Georgia native, Dr. Hopper has a special interest in preventive care and compassionate care for the elderly. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and the proud father of a beautiful baby girl. Dr Hopper enjoys spending time with his family and taking care of patients. -
Trey McAfee, PA-C
Originally from Crisp County, Trey knew he wanted to return to Cordele to practice medicine. Returning home in 2012, Trey has become beloved by patients and families for his ability to empathize with the hurting and treat the whole patient in a way that makes everyone in the room feel special. He is trained for DOT physicals and has a special interest in sports injuries and joint injections. -
Lauren Hinnant, FNP
Lauren quickly established herself as a caring and compassionate provider who is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure her patients have what they need. She has a special interest in women’s health issues and preventive care. -
Recardo Arnett, PA-C
Before joining Atlas as a PA, Recardo worked at Crisp Regional Hospital and Tift Regional Hospital as a respiratory therapist. Raised in South Georgia, Recardo loves fishing, hunting and taking care of patients.
-
John Bridges, FNP
Born and raised in Crisp County, John joined our practice in 2023. His infectious laugh can be heard down the hall as he enjoys his time with his patients. When he is not working, he can be found chasing trout or calling turkey.
-
Destan Musgrove, FNP
A Cordele native, Destan became our newest provider in early 2025. She sees patients both in the office and remotely for those who meet certain criteria. Through home visits, our goal is to provide access to healthcare for people where they are, whether shut-in or in assisted living.
